Last couple of weeks

It’s been busy the last couple of weeks at the Material Girl store!  We’ve had several classes and  a few field trips too…  One beautiful October afternoon, we had visitors from Crystal Lake Central High School for a great field trip.  The store was packed full of enthusiastic beginning sewers! We talked about fabric, notions, patterns and the school projects they are working on.

These ladies were checking out the wash tub full of pretty
fat quarters!

Pretty fabric and pretty ladies in the back of the store!

All the class members are working on two projects.  The first is a  pretty pillow case and their next project will be a cute bag!

It was a fun week at The Material Girl Store…

Happy Sewing!

Had a great 1st Anniversary sale this weekend....

It was our first Anniversary ....
And our customers made this year the best!
We hope you had time to come see us this weekend.
We had a couple of really great days!
A lot of people stop in to enjoy the sale.
And find fabric for that next project

The girls were kept busy at the cutting table.

And Susie was too!

So many fat quarters to pick from...

Even the little ones tagged along too!

Customers mingled and looked at batiks....

Don't you just love it when your
project comes together!

What could be better than sugar cookies and pink lemonade at the check out counter? Thanks for a great first year and come in often to see what we are planning next.....

Happy Sewing!
